Why Book an Online Appointment?
The demand for Aadhaar services often results in long waiting times at enrolment centres.
UIDAI introduced the online appointment booking facility to manage crowds and provide a scheduled time slot for citizens.
This ensures that you don't have to wait for hours and your request is processed within a specific timeframe.
Step-by-Step Booking via UIDAI Website
Follow these steps to secure your slot:
- Visit the official UIDAI website (uidai.gov.in) and click on 'Book an Appointment'.
- Select your City/Location from the dropdown menu.
- Choose the service: 'New Aadhaar' or 'Aadhaar Update'.
- Enter your mobile number and generate an OTP.
- Fill in the required personal details and select the centre.
- Pick a date and time slot from the available green slots.
- Download the Appointment Slip.
Managing and Rescheduling Appointments
If you cannot attend the appointment, the portal allows you to reschedule or cancel it.
You will need your Appointment ID to log back in.
Note that appointments can typically be rescheduled only once or twice before they are cancelled.
Services Available via Online Booking
Not all services require a physical visit, but the following do: New Enrolment, Biometric Updates, Name, Address, Gender, and Date of Birth changes.

Preparing for the Appointment
Carry the printed appointment slip along with original documents.
Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled slot.
The token system at the ASK will recognize your appointment ID, giving you priority over walk-in visitors.
